Throughout my childhood, I moved around frequently. I taught myself to identify home not by where it was situated or the particulars of the structure, but through the furniture and decor that stood constant and omnipresent. If familiarity and consistency are necessary for feelings of comfort and safety then these paintings are an homage to these objects in my life. This painting uses only the references from my mind which exercised my compulsive observation that appears throughout my work.
